For Tendergrove, the gardening game for Android
Tendergrove collects nothing about you. The sections below are written as the questions people actually ask, with the honest answer under each one.
No. Not your name, not your email address, not your phone number, not your location, not your contacts, not your photos, and not an advertising or device identifier. The game has no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising in it, so there is no mechanism through which such data could be gathered even by accident.
This is not a promise about how carefully we handle your information. It is simpler than that: the app never collects it, so there is none to handle.
Your garden. Tendergrove writes a save file into its own private storage on your device so that a crop you planted this morning is still growing when you open the app tonight. That file contains game state only:
None of it identifies you, and none of it is uploaded anywhere. It sits on your phone and nowhere else.
No. Tendergrove is fully offline. It opens no connections, to our servers or to anyone else's, and it works exactly the same in aeroplane mode as it does on wi-fi. Because there is no connection, nothing can be sent out of the device and nothing can be switched on remotely later.
None. Tendergrove requests no Android runtime permissions at all — no camera, no microphone, no location, no contacts, no files, no notifications. If a prompt asking for a permission ever appears in something claiming to be Tendergrove, it is not our build and you should not grant it.
Neither. There is no advertising library in the app, so no adverts are shown and no advertising profile is built from how you play. There is no billing library either: every crop, bed and decoration is unlocked by playing, and the game will never ask you for payment details.
One company, unavoidably: Google, because the app is distributed through Google Play. When you install or update Tendergrove, Google handles that under its own privacy policy and its own agreement with you. What comes back to us is the anonymous, aggregated figures shown in the developer console — install counts, ratings, country totals — which cannot be traced to an individual player and which we never combine with anything else.
If a future version of the game ever adds anything that touches the network, this page will be rewritten before that version reaches the store, and the change will be spelled out in plain language rather than slipped in quietly.
Tendergrove is gentle enough for any age and is not directed at a particular age group. Since it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children either, and there is nothing in the app — no adverts, no chat, no sharing, no links out — through which a child could send information anywhere.
If you are a parent or guardian and something in the app seems to behave differently from what is written here, please write to us and we will look into it straight away.
Clearing the app's data in Android settings resets the garden immediately, and uninstalling Tendergrove removes the save file along with the app. Neither needs our involvement, and neither leaves a copy behind, because no copy was ever made.
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase and port the personal data a company holds about you, and to complain to a regulator. Those rights need data to act on, and we hold none, so there is nothing for us to send you or delete on your behalf. If you would like that confirmed in writing for your own records, ask and we will send it. Complaints can go to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you wrote to us first so we can explain or fix whatever prompted it.
Tendergrove is made and published by Avani Real Estate Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, which publishes its games under the name Rootyield Games. Where data protection law says "controller", that company is it.
